Flavors of Neighborhood Gardens flavors

It’s Harvest Time! Dinning by the bite - Gardeners will share their harvest prepared with their favorite recipes. Enjoy a fall evening in Hauck Botanic Gardens and chat with Neighborhood Gardeners about their community-based garden projects.

A Quilted Garden

See how the blocks all came together from the 2009-2010 Quilt Block Contest. We were able to make four quilts and one wall hanging from all of the beautiful submissions. These quilts will be raffled during the Flavors of Neighborhood Gardens on October 8th. Tickets are available at the front desk. $2.00 for one ticket; $5.00 for three tickets.

10:45am to 11:00am  “Yes You CAN Grow Your Own New Bulbs Here!” with Mary Lou Gripshover, Southwestern Ohio Daffodil Society, American Daffodil Society past president

11:00am to Noon        “Growing Dutch: Bulb production in Holland” with Jeroen Menkveld, Netherland Bulb Company

                                                         
Cost to attend one session is $10 or both sessions for $15.   Attendees of both sessions will receive a coupon for a free bag of daffodils of the bearer’s choice redeemable
at the SWODS Daffodil “shop”.

Plant, Herb & Hosta Sale

What a beautiful evening for a party it was on Friday, April 30th! Thanks to all that came, shopped, participated in the live and silent auctions! Saturday and Sunday, were soggy, but the real gardeners came out despite the rain. Thanks for helping to support the Civic Garden Center and its mission of Building Community through Gardening, Education, and Environmental Stewardship.
